Recently I was able to visit my
home land - New Zealand. While there, I took the opportunity to have several photo
sessions.
The family in the photos here
live in a farm house and their children
go to a rural school. Footwear for “Kiwi”
kids usually consist of a pair of gumboots,
jandals ( Flip-flops) and of course there is
always your bare feet. Yes, some of the
schools still don’t require shoes when the
kids attend school. No need to worry about
snakes either. New Zealand is one of the
few countries in the world that does not have this reptile in its midst.
The children were delightful and enjoyed
the shoot. They also insisted that I
feed Daisy their cute little lamb. Last year’s
lambs were fully grown and were out in the
paddock (pasture) but the minute we came
to the fence they rushed up for some attention.
I must say that I had a little trouble
delving into a delicious lamb roast dinner
after this episode.
The children were free spirited, friendly and full of life. Quite a delight to be around. There were were no cell
phones or computer/tv distractions here. They were happy to play outside and mingle with the adults. We even
got a little guitar recital from Jack.
I took a lot of scenic photos of New Zealand while there. If you are interested
in looking at them, you can go to Collages.net and view the event "New Zealand 2014" Passcode: 8924.
I hope you enjoy!
